3. For these purposes we need your personal data

We use your personal data to fulfil pre-contractual, contractual, post-contractual and statutory obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 b, c DS-GVO).
We need your personal data if you personally enter into a contract with us (e.g. for a service you provide for us) or within the framework of legal obligations to which we are subject. However, we sometimes also need your personal data before you conclude a contract with us, or even afterwards (e.g. application). However, we also process your personal data to fulfil other legal obligations to which we are subject (e.g. tax obligations, terrorism regulations).
We use your personal data to protect the legitimate interests of us or a third party (Art. 6 para. 1 f DS-GVO).
In order to plan an appointment to visit our company, it is necessary to collect personal data from visitors. We collect the name and address of the visitor as well as the date, reason and duration of the visit.
In the context of a business contact we process professional company contact data of the contact persons of our business customers.
We process your personal data even if we or a third party have a legitimate interest in it (e.g. within the scope of coordinating our services with our parent company Automotive Engineering Corp.).
We use your personal data if you consent (Art. 6 para. 1 a DS-GVO)
In a few individual cases we need your concrete consent for the processing of your personal data. In such cases, we will ask you in advance for your consent and inform you separately. A given consent can be contradicted at any time.

4. Your obligation to disclose personal data

If we work for you (e.g. within the scope of our services), we can only do so if you provide us with all the necessary personal data (e.g. your professional company contact data): name, telephone extension, e-mail address, area of responsibility). If you do not wish this, we cannot take action on your behalf. In some cases there is also a legal obligation to provide us with your personal data; we will inform you separately in such a case

5. We obtain the personal data from these sources

We process the personal data that we receive from you. In addition, if permitted, we process personal data obtained from public sources (e.g. company website (contact data), debtor directories (creditworthiness data)) or other sources (e.g. credit agencies (creditworthiness data)). We will be happy to provide you with further details in individual cases.

6. Your rights

If you would like to know which personal data we have stored about you, we will tell you, because you have a right to information in accordance with Art. 15 DS-GVO in conjunction with § 34 BDSG.


If you inform us that personal data is incorrect, we must correct this personal data. You have a right to correction according to Art. 16 DS-GVO.
You have the right to delete your personal data in accordance with Art. 17 DS-GVO in conjunction with § 35 BDSG.In rare cases (e.g. if it is not clear whether personal data is correct or incorrect or if we would like to delete your personal data but you do not want us to do so) you may request that your personal data be restricted in its processing. You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 DS-GVO.
You have a right of objection pursuant to Art. 21 DS-GVO.
You can revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future.
If you do not wish to receive direct advertising from us, you can object to this at any time and we will no longer use your personal data for direct advertising in the future.
If you object to the processing of your personal data, this will not affect the legality of the processing on the basis of your consent until objection is received.
You have a right to data transfer in accordance with Art. 20 DS-GVO.
If you make use of your rights, it will normally cost you nothing. Please contact us in such a case.
If you have a complaint or question about data protection, please contact us (point 1 above) or our data protection officer (point 2 above). You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

7. Receipts to whom we share your personal data

We use your personal data within AE Industry GmbH to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations.


If necessary and permissible or legally obligatory, we pass on your personal data to third parties or to contract processors. Contract processors (e.g. IT service providers) process personal data on our behalf and exclusively according to our specifications.
Our parent company, Automotive Engineering Corp., has branches worldwide and implements projects worldwide. Partly we, the AE Industry GmbH, are also involved in these projects. In order to coordinate projects and services, it is necessary to transfer professional company contact data to third countries as well. In such cases we conclude contracts on the basis of standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data from the EU or the EEA to third countries (transfer between data controllers, 2004/915/EC).

8. We store your personal data as short as possible

We store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligation or a legal obligation. Your personal data will be deleted as soon as we no longer need it and no law requires us to store it further. Your personal data will not be deleted as long as it is required for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

9. your personal data will not be transmitted to international organisations. A processing based on an automated decision does not take place with us. Profiling (the automated processing with the aim of evaluating certain personal aspects) does not take place with us.
